Forensic tools in the Nova's Science Lab

The Science Lab on the Nova's Deck 1 now has forensic tools on its lab benches. The surface collection card there walks you through them.
Traces: take the field sampler from the chemical shelves. smear collection powder on lab benches leaves a patch to practise on; swab, lift or extract lab benches with field sampler recovers a half, three quarters or all of a portion into a sample. You can also wipe lab benches with collection cloth, then recovertrace collection cloth for the solid residue or wringtrace collection cloth into collection waste cup for liquid.
Evidence cases: store <sample> in <case>, seal <case> with <strip>, breakseal <case>, label <case> as <text>, transfer <case> to <person> and inspect <case>. Each case keeps a journal of who handled it, and a case opened or moved outside these commands is marked with a custody gap. Seal strips work once.
Cloth: the optical comparison microscope compares cloth panels. Hold its reticle and textile standard, activate microscope, calibrate microscope, then assay <panel> with microscope for each panel and compare microscope. It reports weave, twist, dye, finish and fibre shape. A match means the same kind of cloth, not the same piece.
