Moving

To leave a room, type the direction of an exit. The room description lists the exits.
north, south, east, west, northeast, northwest, southeast, southwest, up, down
Most have short forms: n, s, e, w, ne, nw, se, sw, u, d.

To take several steps in one go, use go followed by the directions.
go north east

Rooms have space in them. To move toward something or someone in the same room, use walk to.
walk to fountain

Some exits are doors. If one is closed, open it with open followed by the direction, and close it behind you the same way.
open north
close north
