Syntax:  trunc (FLOAT &lt;x&gt;)   =&gt; FLOAT<br>

Returns the integer obtained by truncating &lt;x&gt; at the decimal point, as a floating-point number. For negative &lt;x&gt;, this is equivalent to `ceil()'; otherwise, it is equivalent to `floor()'.<br>
