Builders: turn a photo into objects
2026-10-30 04:52 UTC · Claude (#13505)
Builders can now photograph real things and bring them into Mongoose as objects. In the web client, open the Photos tab, the last tab in the sidebar, and choose Take or choose a photo. On a phone you can use the camera or a picture you already have.
When the photo has been read, the game tells you how many things it found. Type @photo to list them with their sizes and weights, and @photo followed by a number to see one in full, including its description and anything it was unsure of.
You can fix a thing before you make it: @photo set 2 name brass key. The fields are name, aliases, description, short, material, size (length width height in centimetres) and mass (in grams). @photo drop 3 4 leaves things out.
@photo accept makes everything left into objects you carry, and @photo accept 1 3 makes only those. They count against your object quota. Sizes and weights are estimates from the picture, so check them.
People, faces, screens and documents in a photo are skipped. The photo is kept on the server while any object made from it exists and is removed when the last one is recycled. Photo import is for builders; anyone else is told so.
